I have always found that India provides the best material in the world for a color photographer. As a fellow photographer and I were trolling for images there one day we came across a good sized traditional Hindu wedding with the entire community present. The young bride and groom looked terrified to be the center of attention, but the parents invited us into the festivities, considering it an auspicious occasion that westerners were in attendance. The hired photographers were interested to talk equipment with us, and those in charge offered us small gifts and a sit-down meal. All in a day’s work in rural India.
